Forest of Dean Lions helped with the Marie Curie collection at Lydney Tesco store on Sunday 28th February.
Lions hold Christmas collections in Coleford and Lydney.
We are grateful to Tesco, Lydney store for allowing us to hold a Christmas collection on 22nd December 2015. On an unseasonably warm day several of our members and friends did a stint on the collection buckets and Tesco customers showed their usual generosity.
The Forest of Dean Lions Club are very grateful to Midcounties Co-operative for allowing them to hold a collection at the Coleford Co-op on Saturday 19 December 2015. Again the customers of Coleford Co-op were very generous with their donations.

The collections support local projects and our Lions club has recently paid for a projector and screen for Lydney Community Centre in Naas Lane.
Lions approach £100.000 raised in 5 years
The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review of November 6th 2015 carried an article about the Forest of Dean Lions club. The club is approaching the rasing of £100,000 within 5 years.
On November 7th 2015, Forest of Dean Lions and friends together with SevernDean Lions held their annual bonfire and fireworks display on the Speech House Field. Despite persistent rain in the days before the event the weather cleared for the display and we were rewarded with clear skies and a great firework display.
The 10th Forest of Dean MTB Enduro
Forest of Dean Lions, SevernDean Lions and many friends ran the 10th Forest of Dean Enduro. On a lovely Autumn day more than 200 riders took part in this event. The photo shows a wave of riders being briefed before setting off into the forest.
Lions organise a car boot sale at the Speech House
Forest of Dean Lions again ran the late summer car boot sale on the Speech House field. This year the rain reduced the numbers of both sellers and buyers compared with previous years. However everyone was in good humour despite the damp conditions. The Lions are grateful to Mr and Mrs Hands of the Speech House Hotel.
Lions help at the 150th Bream Flower Show
Forest of Dean Lions helped with the car parking at the 150th annual Flower Fruit and Vegetable Show on 15 Aug 2015. The show is one of the oldest in the country and has only missed one year since it started in 1865.
Lions help at Lydney Hospital Fete.
Lydney Hospital Fete is always a fun and friendly event attended by generous visitors. Forest of Dean Lions ran a hidden treasure event with the first prize of a Kindle kindly donated by Tesco, Lydney. All proceeds from the stall together with a donation were given to the Friends of Lydney Hospital.
Forest of Dean Lions donated £400 to the Forest Upcycling project. The donation helped the project buy tools that are used to renovate furniture to be sold on at an affordable price. In the light green shirt is Forest of Dean Lions President Alan Townley.
Forest of Dean Lions helped with car parking at the Proms in the Park organised by Lydbrook Band on the Speech House field.
